Our Story

Est. 2012

Toledo Lawns Core Purpose: We commit to do great things with our company, in our community, and for our family!

Officially started in 2012 as FMS Lawn and Landscape, Founding Partner’s Joshua Way, Jason Walker, and William Webert, came together to provide lawn & landscape maintenance services for a locally owned property management company. Quickly after establishing the company, the Management Team decided to grow outside of the initial client base, changed the business name to Toledo Lawns, and now provide lawn and landscape maintenance services to over 300 Commercial & Residential properties in the Toledo Metro Area. In their second year in business, the company expanded its services to provide Professional Snow & Ice Management, and is currently responsible for over 110 acres of commercial lot space in the local area.

We are a family owned/operated local business. We currently employ 20 full/part-time employees, and up 6 additional seasonal employees, all residing in the NW Ohio/SE Michigan area.

We commit that up to 100% of our workforce will be selected from the available talent pools residing in the Toledo Metro Area and bordering SE Michigan Areas. We were born and raised in this area, raise our families in this area, and are committed to seize every opportunity to strengthen our economy!

Our commitment to bettering our local environment - 3 year goal (2021)

As part of our commitment to reduce our overall energy footprint - We commit to convert up to 100% of our mower fleet, to use alternative fuel power (i.e. propane, electric, etc.).

We commit to convert up to 100% of hand equipment (trimmers, chainsaws, hedgers, etc.) and blowers, used on your sites, to use rechargeable battery power.

We commit to using rechargeable battery systems that are connected to solar powered recharging stations when/where ever possible.

Our commitment to safety...

Toledo Lawns Crew Members are required to wear the following as uniform: hi-vis reflective orange shirts (Crew Leaders – Collar/Polo & Technicians – Collarless), brown cut/tear resistant work jeans, steel/composite toe boots, belt, and ear/eye protection. All employees have also been trained to use hand/head protection when job duties require it necessary. We offer consistent safety training through tailgate talks, monthly classroom sessions, and on site experiences.
